Selena Gomez is more than happy to hype her favorite musical artists: She’s friends with most of them, anyway.

The multitalented and oh-so-gracious former Disney star is in a long-term relationship with the entertainment industry’s teen dream du jour, Justin Bieber, and counts Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift among her best friends. She runs with a very productive pack, that Selena.

When asked about her personal musical tastes in interviews, Gomez is often vague, as she’s apparently into just about everything “from classical to country music, indie, R&B, pop, hip hop, a real selection.”

But some artists are obviously dearer to her than others. The always composed singer has cited cartoonish singer-songwriter Katy Perry among her inspirations, and even turned to Perry for one of the songs on her album A Year Without Rain: “Rock God.”

She explained to MTV, “I actually had to fight for that song. I wanted it so bad. It’s kind of funky, and I think I used her style and we kind of mixed it up with the producers that I worked with with my style, so we made it a little bit more techno.”

Consider her a superfan. She also listed Adele as her favorite singer of the moment during an interview with Radio Disney, and says she’s also listening to a lot of Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Mumford & Sons.

1. Justin Bieber’s “Never Let You Go”

Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber are a match made in publicist heaven—and they’re impressively supportive of each other. Before Selena would even admit to dating the slightly younger Canadian pop star, she’d plug his music, telling the Boston Globe that she was fond of his songs “Never Let You Go” and “Up.” Now everyone’s waiting to see if they’ll make sweet, sweet music together.

2. Taylor Swift’s “Dear John”

Taylor Swift is one of Selena’s best friends; Selena says it’s because they’re “both dramatic.” But Taylor is also one of Selena’s favorite artists. In an interview with MTV, Gomez said that she was “absolutely in love with” the song “Dear John,” which is widely believed to be about Swift’s rumored former flame John Mayer. Mayer, coincidentally, has worked with another of Selena’s best friends: Demi Lovato.

3. The Jonas Brothers’ “Inseparable”

Any Selena Gomez fan knows that Justin Bieber isn’t her first pop star boyfriend. For years, Gomez was linked on and off to Miley Cyrus’ sometimes boyfriend Nick Jonas. During that time, Selena often referred to The Jonas Brothers as her favorite band, and claimed this was her favorite song. Now that she and Nick are long over, think she still digs this tune?
